Trauma & Emotional Healing Support in Springfield

When your mind tries to move on… but your body still feels heavy, tense, or unsafe, it’s not in your head. It’s your nervous system holding on.

This gentle therapy helps your body release stored stress, feel safe again, and return to calm.

When the Body Holds on to Stress

You may have moved forward in life… But your body didn’t fully let go. After overwhelming or stressful experiences, the nervous system can stay stuck in survival mode:

  • Fight
  • Flight
  • Freeze

This keeps your body on alert, even when there’s no real danger.

Over time, this can feel like:

  • Constant tension
  • Emotional heaviness
  • A mind that won’t slow down

Your body is protecting you, but it no longer needs to.

Common Experiences

If this feels familiar, your nervous system may be overwhelmed:

  • Feeling constantly on edge
  • Difficulty relaxing or feeling safe
  • Emotional overwhelm
  • Sleep disturbances
  • Fatigue and burnout
  • High sensitivity to stress

These are not weaknesses. They are signs your body needs support, not pressure.
